Sebastião Oliveira Viana, known as Sebbastião Xant, adopted his artistic name in honor of his mother, Sebastiana – an affectionate tribute that reflects his human depth. Self-taught since 1982, Xant quickly evolved after joining the Sociedade Brasileira de Belas Artes (SBBA), under the tutelage of renowned Professor Chisnandes. His journey included studies at the Escola de Artes Visuais, the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios and the studio of master Jaime Sampaio, where he not only improved his sculpture and painting techniques, but also returned in 1987 as a teacher, consolidatin
